Luke Young admits he joined QPR for the sake of his family.
He admitted it is a relief to be back near his Wimbledon home after living out of a suitcase at Aston Villa for months.
"I knew I wanted my family settled down here," said Young.
"It didn't bother me with the travelling or staying in hotels and I could have kept going like that, but it is such a pleasure living close to the club you play for.
"It is also an exciting prospect trying to help QPR survive in the Premier League, even though I've been at Villa, who, not so long ago, were looking at qualifying for the Champions League."
