Manchester United winger Ashley Young has described playing with club captain Wayne Rooney as a joyful experience.
Young was speaking after Rooney's testimonial game at Old Trafford on Wednesday in which he made a second-half appearance in the goalless draw against Everton.
"He's been a fantastic servant for the club," Young told MUTV.
"He's a world-class player. In 12 years, with what he's won, I'm sure he wants to add more to it and it's a joy to play alongside him. Of course, it's really about Wayne's foundation and the money raised tonight. I'm sure that will go to good causes.
"He's a massive character off the pitch but especially on it. He shows that hunger and desire to want to go out there and win. To play alongside him is magnificent for me and hopefully there will be many more times that I can do that."
