Young gun Ryan scoops Central Coast Mariners prize

Mathew Ryan has been named the Central Coast Mariners' Player of the Year for the 2011/12 A-League season.

The 20-year old goalkeeper, who was this season named A-League Goalkeeper of the Year and NAB Young Player of the Season, has now added the Mariners Medal to his tally of awards.

Other award winners on the night included Michael McGlinchey who was named the Fans' Player of the Season while defender Patrick Zwaanswijk, young striker Bernie Ibini and former Mariner Matt Simon - now with Chunnam Dragons in Korea's K-League - shared the club's Golden Boot accolade.
