Adelaide United defender Daniel Mullen is out for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament strain. Mullen copped a knock against the Newcastle Jets on Friday night and after having a scan has found out that he is likely to be sidelined for about a month.

"He's had an MRI and it's a strain. It will be three to four weeks," Coach Aurelio Vidmar said. "It is a bit of blow, he has been a revelation for us at right back."
