Adelaide United goalkeeper Mark Birighitti badly injured his ankle at training yesterday and is expected to miss up to six weeks. The 17-year old landed awkwardly on his ankle at the end of the Reds final training session in Yokohama leading into the fifth place play-off against Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Reds will now need to find a replacement for the remainder of the A-League season.
