Yolanthe - and Peter Kenyon - key to Manchester United landing Sneijder

The wife of Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder holds the key to his move to Manchester United. The Mail on Sunday says Sneijder's glamorous wife Yolanthe could hold the key to breaking the deadlock in his proposed £35million move to Manchester United as the couple have already appointed an agency to work on commercial deals in the English speaking world.

Former United and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon, now a partner at Creative Artists' Agency, is aiding the search for new deals for the couple and a move to the UK would boost the profiles of both the player and his TV presenter wife.

Yolanthe spends much of her professional life in Los Angeles, working on TV projects, and is said to be ambitious to break into English-language TV.

However, there remain major obstacles to the move, which prompted Sir Alex Ferguson to downplay his club's interest last week - not least Sneijder's £280,000- a-week deal with Inter, who will also hold out for at least £35m, while United want to pay considerably less.
