Yokohama F Marinos have defeated Kawasaki Frontale 2-1 in the J-League on the weekend. Yukihiro Yamase put the home side ahead in the 21st minute before Daisuke Sakata added a second two minutes after the re-start.

Kawasaki midfielder Kengo Nakamura got one back in the 87th minute but it wasn't enough for the visitors.

The win was the Marinos second on the trot, inflicting Kawasaki's third defeat of the season.
