Everton will shortly open talks with Joseph Yobo over a new deal at Goodison Park. Blues boss David Moyes admits the club will look at the central Nigerian international's contract situation in the near future.
"We haven't spoken about Joe's contract at the moment," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo. "That's something we'll be looking at I'm sure."
Yobo is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem, but Moyes insists the injury is not too serious and that he could be back in action within three weeks.
"He had a sore back and he did a bit of training with us," added Moyes. "But then he felt his hamstring, so we had it scanned and it looks as though it's a grade one tear.
"It shouldn't keep him out for too long but I'll be hoping to get him back within three weeks."
