Yeovil in talks for Arsenal loan signing

Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton hopes to close a loan deal for an Arsenal youngster.

Skiverton has confirmed talks with Arsenal coaching staff about taking a young player on-loan.

"They had a game against Colorado Rapids and I went to watch that game. There's a couple of people that I know from Arsenal from when I was a young kid, like Steve Rowley who is the Chief Scout down there. So I went and watched the game and had a cup of tea and I spoke with (Reserve Team Coach) Neil Banfield," he told the 'Ciderspace' website.

"There was a player that was alerted to me by one of my scouts, so I went there and watched him and he did a fantastic job and hopefully we can get him tomorrow (Wednesday). He'll come as back-up and he knows that. But he's going to push for a place and hopefully he can get a couple of league games before the end of the season."
