Yeovil accounts show small profit

Yeovil Town have revealed operating profits of £21,000 for the year ending June 30, 2011. The League One club disclosed the information in a statement on their official website.

"On revenues that were eight per cent down on the previous year at £2.9million, operating profit remained static at £21k," it read.

"There was no income from the transfer of player registrations in the year and this was the main reason for the reduction in the club's total revenues compared with the previous year.

"Additional income from the share of centralised broadcasting revenues compensated for the reduction in receipts from ticket sales and other commercials activities.

"Costs were kept under tight control to enable the club to register a satisfactory result for the year in a difficult economic climate. The club is expecting to produce similar financial results for the current year." p> The game is about opinions. Make yours heard!
