Yaya Toure return at Real Madrid so important for Man City - Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini has indicated that Yaya Toure will be passed fit to play for Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has missed City's last two matches with a thigh problem but returned to full training the week and has travelled with the City squad to Spain for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.

Toure, 32, remains one of City's prime movers and Pellegrini stressed that his experience in big games, having won Europe's top club competition with Barcelona in 2009, will be of great benefit to the Premier League outfit as they strive to qualify for the final for the very first time.

"Yaya has trained without problems this week and he's travelled with us," said Pellegrini.

"He's a player with a lot of quality who has been fortunate enough to have won the Champions League with Barça and he's going to be very important for us."

The tie is currently on a gilt-edge following last week's 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium as a clash with Atletico Madrid at the San Siro in Milan on May 28 awaits.
