Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has declared West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho the future of African football.
Speaking with Foot Mercato, Toure was asked about African players capable of challenging for the Ballon d'Or in the future.
"I have been following very closely the development of young Africans, especially of course the Ivorians. And I'm very proud of them.
"(Wilfried) Bony makes Swansea City happy. He has already scored four league goals.
" There are many others ... for example the Senegalese Sakho who played against us with West Ham. He destroyed us recently.
"I think the future is secured."
