Yaya Toure eager for Premier League stay if new Man City boss Guardiola gets rid

Yaya Toure is reportedly eager to remain in the Premier League if new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola decides the Ivorian is free to leave the club during the summer.

The Guardian is reporting Toure, who has a year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, would be happy to stay at City next season should Guariolda wish to keep him.

However, if Guardiola deems the 32-year-old to be surplus to requirements, it is understood Toure would prefer to remain in England with another Premier League club.

Toure's family is settled in Manchester and he enjoys the challenge of competing in England's top flight.

Guardiola sanctioned Toure's £24m move from Barcelona to City in 2010, but it is understood Toure that relations between the pair are amiable.
