Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure is back on the table for Arsenal.

Barca president Joan Laporta declared last night they are determined to prise Cesc Fabregas away from the Gunners.

Barca aim to tempt Arsenal with a straight £40m cash bid by raising money from sponsors, says The Sun.

If that fails, an alternative plan is to offer unsettled Ivory Coast midfield star Yaya Toure, brother of former Gunners defender Kolo, plus £30m.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had the chance to sign Toure for chump change as a junior with Beveren, but failed to be convinced by the then young midfielder during preseason trials.
