Yannick Bolasie has thanked Crystal Palace fans for their support after victory at Chelsea.
The Palace family closed ranks around Bolasie following the death of his father – and the winger responded by helping to clinch a magnificent win.
Palace boss Alan Pardew said: “We wore the armbands for his dad which we thought would be a nice gesture to make for him.
“Yannick contacted me on Thursday and said he felt that he could play here.
"I decided not to start him, but it was a big boost for us to have somebody like him poised to come on.
"He obviously made a big difference when he came on."
