Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa insists AS Roma can still catch Juventus in this season's title race.
The defender signed permanently for Roma from Newcastle this week.
"Seven points may seem like a lot, but it only takes two losses for them and two victories for us and the gap is closed," the 25-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
"Now it's up to us to get back to winning again, to get back on track. We'll draw our conclusions at the end.
"Juventus have had greater continuity so far, they have been more regular with their performances.
"But in any case it's a long season and all teams have to go through a tough, delicate phase.
"You've got to wait it out, and then get to work again to return to victory."
