Blackburn Rovers star Yakubu has urged the supporters of the club to get behind the players and manager Steve Kean.
The Ewood Park club has been regularly bashed by fans this season as they sit firmly in the relegation zone but after the shock 3-2 victory over reigning champions Manchester United on Saturday, Yakubu wants everybody to show their full support for the Rovers cause.
"At home it's 'He has to go, he has to go' but things have changed. This is a fresh start.
"We are looking forward to the game with Stoke. Hopefully, the fans can get behind the team.
"He believes in the players - he never puts pressure on us, even when we are losing.
"He tells us 'Enjoy yourselves and give everything'. So the players are playing for the manager and the club.""They should give him a break and support the team. That is what we want," said Yakubu, who scored two goals at Old Trafford on the weekend.
