Xisco is seeking clarification over his future at Newcastle United.
The £5.7m signing spent the last two seasons on loan at Racing Santander and Deportivo La Coruna, where he started his career, and it is his former club that could offer him an escape from St James' Park after previous transfer attempts failed.
The 25-year-old's representative said: "In sport there is contact and there is waiting. The problem is the third part, convincing Newcastle. Let's see if we leave.
"Unlike other times when had to wait until the end of the season, this time it has been rapid. We want to resolve his future soon, whoever it is with, but Deportivo would be better."
