Barcelona have opened talks with Xavi over a new contract.
Xavi's agent, Ivan Corretja, met with Barca chiefs Josep Maria Bartomeu and Andoni Zubizarreta this week to outline the start of negotiations over a new deal.
The midfielder, 32, is happy to play out his career at the Nou Camp.
