Barcelona midfielder Xavi feels their clash with Atletico Madrid will not be decisive in the title battle.
But Xavi says a win will "lay down a marker".
"The Atlético match will be a very tough one, but we want to stay in the lead. We are coming into the game with some good form. They will be playing in front of a home crowd and they are very compact in defence. We'll try and win the match and let's hope we see Barça give a good performance like at the beginning of 2014," said Xavi.
"It is important for us and for them too. A win would lay down a marker."
