Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso was delighted for Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain after victory over Galatasaray.

The pair both struck in the 3-0 Champions League win.

"It is good news that those up front have scored because their confidence is very important. This year we are really motivated in the Champions League. We're progressing one step at a time and although there are still some matches to go we are where we want to be," said Xabi.
