Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth is backing Sunderland winger Billy Knott for success on-loan at Port Vale.

Knott played for Ainsworth at Wycombe earlier this season.

Ainsworth told The Sentinel: "Billy has got things that I like in football. He's high-intensity, high-energy, likes to press and likes to tackle.

"He's also got quality on the ball and has a wand of a left foot."
