Wrighty worried for Klopp: Liverpool now a soft touch

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is worried for Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool's Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester City.

At the final whistle, Wright expressed concern, though he conceded there was little Liverpool could have done about Islam Slimani's superb second.

“We love him and we love his antics on the sidelines, but his team are not performing as they should," Wright said. “I thought they did alright in the first half, but Leicester were pretty poor. Leicester stepped it up and it was quite comfortable in the end.

“With this competition, you can use it. Palace can use it today like a springboard. That can give them confidence. With Liverpool, the way it is going, them losing this game as well can go the other way.

“That goal which Slimani scored was pretty good. Any time you concede goals, you worry about how they're conceded. But the problem with Liverpool is you want to see them play in a way and trying to defend in a way that people have been giving them a lot of criticism for.

“They're a bit too easy to score against."
