Shaun Wright-Phillips says Manchester City can lay down a marker today by beating Liverpool.
Wright-Phillips, 28, is convinced Mark Hughes' new-look side have the quality to be there in May and qualify for the Champions League for the first time.
The City winger told The Sun: "We can definitely finish in the top four.
"We've been together less than a year but I think things are happening with this team.
"I've played Champions League football with Chelsea - but it would mean an awful lot to do it with City, where things really started for me in my career.
"And if we can win at Liverpool, it will put down a massive marker to show people what we're capable of."
