Rangers chief executive Charles Green has labelled today's team the worst there has ever been at Ibrox.
Despite leading Scotland's Third Division by 20 points, Green suggests Ally McCoist has the worst group ever to don the famous blue of the Glasgow club.
"This is the worst Rangers team you have ever seen," he said.
"The fans are not happy, the board are not happy and Ally McCoist isn't happy at that.
"The responsibility lies with Ally as manager and myself as chief executive. I'm backing him and we are going to get through this. His job's safe, absolutely.
"Ally's no different to any other manager, but he is winning the league and he knows far better than me what is right and what is wrong.
"When he gets booed off the park he's not happy and when he gets clapped off it he is.
"It's been a real adjustment for us in terms of things like the standard of the pitches.
"And the players have all been big enough to say at certain times they have not performed."
