World Cup hero says Australia is on track to push for World Cup finals

December 2010 is looming as D Day for Australia and other World Cup hopefuls when FIFA announce the successful bidders for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup final tournaments.

1974 World Cup hero and current FFA Commissioner Jack Reilly urged all Australians to talk the bid up on their travels overseas and domestically.

Speaking at the launch of Melbourne Victory's season at Crown Palladium, Reilly said, "I beseech all of you to go out and spread the word. We need all Australians to get behind this bid.

"We have a Chairman in Frank Lowy that does not know how not to win and the feeling at FFA is that we will push England and USA all the way to win one of the bids."
