Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has lauded Monday's win over Panama at the 2018 World Cup as "important and special".
The Red Devils shrugged off a slow start to destroy the Central Americans 3-0 in their opening Group F fixture.
Dries Mertens opened the scoring with a stunning volley before Romelu Lukaku's double sealed an important victory for the Belgians.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Martinez was pleased with the second-half response from his players.
"A first victory in a big tournament is always important and special," said Martinez.
"Panama was very well organized. In the second half we showed a little more quality with Mertens, Hazard, De Bruyne and Lukaku. In combination with our team spirit, we made the difference.
"Whether we doubted? No, we knew we had to stay calm. And certainly not get frustrated. We have the three points and now we can focus on the next game against Tunisia. "
