Geoff Cameron's mooted move from Houston Dynamo to Stoke City is still a work in progress.
The 27-year old American defender has been heavily linked with the Potters for about a month now but talks are ongoing and an agreement between the clubs, and Major League Soccer, is expected to be made soon.
"Both sides have worked very, very hard over the last few days to come much closer to a transfer agreement," said Dynamo president Chris Canetti.
"There is apparent light at the end of the tunnel for a deal to be done. However there is still work to be done, but nothing is 100 percent complete at this stage."
