Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward is planning to make significant changes on the club's television channel, the Manchester Evening News report.
Woodward aims to transform MUTV to a Netflix-type app which would see a football club television work in a completely different way from the traditional.
From this summer onwards, 20-year-old MUTV will be available on connected or smart TVs.
This will release the club's television channel from the constraints of Sky or cable TV and give it another dimension, similar to those of Amazon Prime, iPlayer and NowTV.
Woodward is sure that live broadcasts are key to content consumption and revolutionised TV channel will become important revenue stream for Man Utd.
