Wolves winger Michael Kightly is determined to prove himself better than Premiership stars Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham) and James Milner (Aston Villa).
He said: "I'm absolutely determined to get a starting place in the Under 21s this season.
"That's going to be tough with terrific players like Lennon, Milner and Walcott available but I've already had a few call-ups and the odd five-minute appearance as a sub, so it's time for me to take the next step and win a starting place.
"They are Premier League players so they are in the spotlight but our great start is giving all of us at Molineux a higher profile as well."
