Wolves winger Jarvis determined to improve crossing

Matt Jarvis is determined to improve his delivery at Wolves.

Winger Jarvis has knocked over 85 deliveries in the first eight games, more than any other player in the top flight.

"It's nice to be top of the list and be recognised for it," the former Gillingham man said. "It shows that I'm getting in the positions to get crosses in, but also that I'm getting the ball as well and providing chances for strikers and midfield runners.

"Of course it can be misleading - out of the 80-odd crosses, only 10 might have been any good. That's what I've spoken about to the gaffer and (assistant manager) Terry Connor and that's what I need to improve.

"I need to make sure 60 out of any 80 I put in get to our men - it's all about the quality of the crosses.

"There's no point me putting in rubbish crosses, I need to make sure it's a good delivery we can score from."
