Wolves winger Dave Edwards admits the players were stung into action against Wigan after the fallout from their defeat to West Ham.

"I've heard some of the pundits questioning the squad and seen it in the papers. We've seen what we can do," he said. "We're missing players including our top goalscorer (Sylvan Ebanks-Blake) and our Player of the Year (Kevin Foley) and we went to Wigan and put on a magnificent performance.

"It was so vital to get three points. "It's a big weight off our shoulders."
