Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is chasing Manchester United defender Jonny Evans.

Wolves are set to complete the signing of Evans' team-mate Darron Gibson - but the boss insists that won't be the last of his loan dealings.

"The loan system is something that we will continue to use," he told the Express & Star.

"The clubs know that those fringe players need to play football and they might now be keen to let them go out to a club like Wolves where demands will be made of them."
