Wolves have revealed that they rejected a proposal from another club to sign Kevin Doyle.
The Republic of Ireland international had been heavily linked with a loan move to Celtic as the winter transfer window came to a close but the Molineux outfit said they had no intentions of offloading the striker.
"Wolves can confirm that an offer was received for striker Kevin Doyle shortly before the closure of the transfer window on Thursday evening," read a statement on the club's official website.
"This bid was rejected, as were a number of others for key players during January."
Doyle had emerged as a Bhoys target as a potential replacement for Gary Hooper who was being heavily tracked by Norwich City but in the end remained at Parkhead.
