Wolverhampton Wanderers will smash the Championship transfer record in order to beat Liverpool to Anderson Talisca.
The Sun is reporting that the Brazilian forward will travel to the UK to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms with Wolves who will pay Benfica £20million.
Liverpool have been in pursuit of 22-year-old Talisca this summer but it appears as though they will miss out following the takeover of Wolves by cashed up Chinese consortium Fosun International.
Super agent Jorge Mendes is behind the negotiations and has been told by Fosun, who hold a minor share in his sports agency, to help get Walter Zwenga's Wolves promoted.
It is understood that the Talisca deal may be for just one season and could cost Wolves just under the £20m quoted.
