Wolves have told Sunderland they need £10 million to sign Steven Fletcher.
Sunderland are leading Stoke City and Fulham in the chase for the Scotland striker, who scored 12 Premier League goals last season despite Wolves being relegated to the Championship.
Wolves boss Stale Solbakken told the Mirror: "It's one thing what we've been told and one thing what's actually on the table.
"There are no offers at the moment. If there are key players who we rely on here that, for one reason or another leave the club, we must have very good players coming in to fill their roles.
"This doesn't just apply to us - this is the same is for any team. There's always one bigger fish out there that you have to keep up with."
