Wolves are eyeing Reading striker Shane Long.
The Mirror says Wolves boss Mick McCarthy wants to sign Reading's Republic of Ireland hit-man Long - and reunite him with Kevin Doyle.
McCarthy watched the Royals hit man in action in midweek and is keen to capture him in the summer and team him up with former club sidekick Doyle.
The Republic of Ireland have played together for their country occasionally but showed real promise together at Reading before Doyle went to Wolves.
Everton are also looking at Long but do not have the funds to win an auction, with Wolves the clear favourites to land Long when he moves on.
