Wolves striker Vokes wants Sheffield United return

After completing a one-month loan with Sheffield United, Sam Vokes is hoping he can return to Bramall Lane for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year old Wolves striker made six appearances in the Championship for the Blades, scoring one goal, and now wants to continue playing regular first team football with the relegation battlers.

"It has been great to get some games there because that is what I wanted to do when I joined and I'd love to stay there for the rest of the season and help them avoid relegation," Vokes told skysports.com.

"I haven't spoken to anyone at Wolves about it yet because I'm away with Wales, but it is something I would like to sort out when I get back.

"I had a tough start to the season having been out for around five months with a hamstring injury, which was a bit of a nightmare, but getting a run in the team at Sheffield United and scoring against Nottingham Forest has got me going again."
