Wolves striker Iwelumo returns to action

Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo got through a full 90 minutes in his return to reserve team action.

The 31-year old Scotland international has been sidelined with a broken foot which he sustained in a pre-season visit to Australia.

Prior to that injury, Iwelumo missed the end of last season with a damaged knee and after his reserves match, was buzzing that he came through unscathed.

"I am buzzing and delighted to have secured my first full 90 minutes after what has been a long six months out of the game," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"That is the longest spell of my career out through injury since I first started playing football as a wee boy.

"Obviously the legs are a bit tired but I knew they would be. I am just delighted to get those 90 minutes under my belt."
