Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths hopes to sign permanently for Hibs.
The striker moved to his boyhood heroes on loan four months ago to get some first team experience.
"But if Wolves and Hibs were able to strike a deal I'd be absolutely delighted to stay here.
"Mick McCarthy has said he wants to sell me and I'll be honest, I didn't think that was coming.
"He just phoned me and explained that I wasn't going to be in his plans so it was best all round if he sold me.
"But he's made his mind up and I can't do very much about it now." He said: "Right now, I am contracted here until January 9 and everything is out of my hands.
