Wolves captain Roger Johnson was surprised by QPR striker Djibril Cisse's reaction ahead of his dismissal on Saturday.

The striker reacted - or rather over-reacted - to Wolves skipper Johnson's late first-half tackle by shaking him warmly by the throat.

Johnson, whose Wanderers came back from 1-0 down against the 10 men to seal their first win in 11 matches, said: "I was surprised by Cisse's reaction.

"I understand he's had some bad injuries and he was probably disappointed with my tackle. But you get late tackles and if he's going to react like that he'll get sent off every week."
