Wolverhampton Wanderers are waiting for FIFA to make decision over Rui Patricio's transfer.
The Portuguese keeper arrived at Molineux from Sporting Lisbon in June. Patricio terminated his contract with Sporting following an attack from a group of fans after training.
However, the Portuguese side are now claiming the contract termination was illegitimate and have asked for £50m compensation.
Wolves are willing to wait on FIFA ruling over the issue, but are ready to negotiate the transfer fee with Sporting's new president after the elections at the Lisbon club.
