Wolves are set to keep hold of on-loan Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne for the full season.

The Express & Star says Wolves are set to keep Mancienne for the whole campaign after FIFA told Chelsea they cannot recall players on season-long loans.

Chelsea have been banned from signing players for the next two transfer windows after inducing Gael Kakuta.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti wanted to recall Mancienne, who is their fifth-choice defender, under an emergency clause in January.

But FIFA will have to rule on whether an 'emergency release clause' can be applied.
