Wolves and Sunderland are battling for Manchester United defender Jonny Evans.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy wants to sign the 20-year-old Northern Ireland international on loan.
But Evans played 19 games on loan for Sunderland last season and Black Cats boss Roy Keane is bidding to sign Evans on a permanent basis in a £2m deal when the transfer window re-opens in January.
