Wolves remain keen on Hull City winger Stephen Hunt.

The Birmingham Mail says Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is a known admirer of the former Reading player and has tested the water by lodging a bid, thought to be of around £2million for him with the Tigers.

A deal is not thought to be imminent but Hull's parlous financial position means they are likely to sell players which will encourage Wolves to persist throughout the transfer window.
