Wolves, QPR watching Scunthorpe playmaker Wright

Wolves are watching Scunthorpe United midfield schemer Josh Wright.

Wright's form for struggling Scunthorpe has attracted Premier League scouts to Glanford Park this season.

tribalfootball.com understands the stylish midfielder is under consideration at Wolves as a replacement for contract rebel David Jones. Wright is similar in characteristics to Jones and manager Mick McCarthy feels he would fit easily into Wolves' style of play.

Ahead of the January market, Championship promotion hopefuls QPR are also interested in Wright. Like McCarthy, R's boss Neil Warnock rates the youngster highly and believes the playmaker would suit their passing game.

A source close to Wright told tribalfootball.com: "The interest in Josh is growing. Wolves and QPR are watching him closely and we expect more clubs to make themselves known before the New Year."
