Wolves prepared to allow Griffiths to make Hibernian move

Leigh Griffiths has been told by Wolves manager Mick McCarthy that he can find a new club in January.

The 22-year old striker has made one appearance for the Molineux outfit since arriving from Dundee almost a year ago and has now been given permission to look for another club with Hibernian, where he is currently on loan, at the head of the queue.

"Leigh isn't going to get in my team so if I can sell him, I'll sell him," McCarthy told the Edinburgh Evening News.

"I don't see him getting in my first team now and if it means we sell him on with a sell-on clause so be it.

"(Former Hibs boss) Colin Calderwood wanted to sign him and I've had a discussion with (new manager) Pat Fenlon and we're leaving it as it is for now.

"There are a couple of other Scottish clubs who fancy Leigh."
