Wolves are preparing to sell Steven Fletcher this week.

The Sun says Sunderland and Aston Villa target Fletcher sat out Wolves' defeat yesterday to Southampton.

The £10million-rated Scottish striker was officially left out because of an ankle injury but new manager Stale Solbakken expects to lose him before the transfer window closes.

Solbakken made a quick exit to watch another match but said: "I am confident that we will be weakened but I will be able to bring in replacements."
