Wolves move for Crystal Palace keeper Speroni

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is moving for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

The Mirror says Argentine Speroni has also been linked with Blackpool and QPR after winning Palace's Player of the Year award for the last three seasons.

Speroni kept nine clean sheets in 52 appearances last season and McCarthy has lined him up to compete with USA international Marcus Hahnemann for Wolves' No.1 jersey.

The Eagles have been in administration since January, but where saved from going under on Tuesday.
