Wolves midfielder Jamie O'Hara has rejected an approach from the Republic of Ireland.

He has not given up hope of playing for England and is sticking to his guns - even though boss Mick McCarthy has told him to make himself available for the Republic.

O'Hara, 25, insisted: "I've played for England at every level except the senior side.

"It's always been my ambition to win a full cap and that hasn't changed. I have a massive Irish family on dad's side - I'm probably more Irish than English.

"But it would be unfair on the Irish players if I changed countries and it would raise a few eyebrows. I wouldn't want that sort of attention."
